What to look for in an agent…

Hey it’s Rudy here and I want to give you some pointers on how to find a great real estate agent. The first question I would ask is why they got into real estate. Did they get into it to make a quick buck or because they genuinely care about helping people.

Do they have references to prove what they are telling you. References can included past supervisors, co-workers. Some good questions to ask are how long did they maintain their job, what kind of a person are they and how would you describe their character. Ask them if they volunteer in their community or just volunteer in general. This information can tell you a lot about a person’s character and what length they are willing to go to help you find and purchase a home.

Sometimes the home buying process can take a while so a broker’s job is to help keep the process on track and speed it up when necessary. They are there to help ensure the home buying process goes as smoothly as possible.

The next thing I would look at is if they are local to the Puget Sound area or do they work nearby. Do they have enough experience and knowledge of the area to give you enough information to help you make the best home buying decisions.

Lastly I would say availability. Make sure their availability matches your schedule and needs. Thank you for taking the time to read this post, have a great day!
